STEAD STREET
The Stead Street Housing development contains 77 new homes arranged around two courtyards in three buildings which vary in height from four to seven storeys stepping back at upper floors to create large rooftop gardens for the family homes.
Three quarters of homes are dual aspect and almost all are orientated towards the adjacent park with living spaces opening out onto generous balconies or rooftop terraces.
Elevations are composed principally of brickwork with areas of precast concrete detailing. The facades on Stead Street are gently cranked in plan to respond to the gently cranked roof line on the Haworth Tompkins buildings opposite.
